Different Types of Car Games

This is another article from the GameZ4you car games article series.

I the last decade motor racing got a boost of popularity everywhere, especially in Europe, since this is where the races take place, and also the car manufacturers are all from Europe.

Usually those companies will have their own racing teams, or clubs, which they place their car to race.
Now, we all know that there is a strong and clear correlation between sports and online games. Not just in racing, but in every existing sport genre.
But games are more fun. While in real life we only have a certain number of races, there is no limit to what we can do in games.

Car games is one of the most played games online, for both young kids and adults. A new car game is being created every hour!
There are so many motor games that we had to categorize them into sub-genres.

There are several types of car racing games. Here are the most popular:

Simulation Racing

Those games are meant to reflect actual races and racing events, like the Grand Prix, Formula 1and NASCAR tracks.
Some of the rules are the same as they apply in real life situations, but not all of them.
The goal is simply to win a race while contesting other cars. Who ever drives fast wins.

Arcade Racing

Games that are pretty much stand alone and are not affected on any real racing track. We can find games like Split Second, Track Mania etc.
The goal of those games can be different from game to game, each one will have its own mission.

Street Racing

No rules, no second place. Only the toughest survive.
This are very fun games because you is not restricted to any rules or obligations, which makes the opportunities endless.
Popular games are: LA Street Racing, Need For Speed series, Street Racing and Juiced series.

Motor sports are not just cars. Truck games and moster truck games are also a part of the motor sports. Some will say that bike games, dirt bike and motorcycles are also a part of that genre.

Even though there are a lot types of motor games, there is one common thing for all of them and that is the excitement and thrill of the race. Personaly I think that car games genre is the most attractive and exciting of all online games, except maybe online shooting games and MMORPG.

Another advantage games have over reality is the safety matter. In October 2011 alone there were two drivers who died on the racing tracks, world-renowned driver Dan Wheldon crash during a wreck that involved 15 cars during the IndyCar Series, and Marco Simoncelli on the MotoGP race while lost control on his bike and thrust to the middle of the track and there he was hit by another motorcycle.

Every few years a driver dies on the tracks, but online gaming release us from that burden and allow us to enjoy a race feeling while sitting on the couch.
And if we are tired of driving, we can always play Tetris games...
